Making low carb simple
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, fry the bacon until crispy, about 5 minutes. Set aside on a paper towel–lined plate to cool. When cool enough to handle, cut each strip in half crosswise.
Squeeze a line of mayonnaise onto each of the lettuce leaves. Top each leaf with a half-slice of tomato, 3 half-slices of bacon, and a slice of avocado. Season to taste with salt and pepper and enjoy!

Well, I’ve searched this site and it looks like you’d have to cobble something together yourself, vegan wise. Here’s a soup you could try. Vegan kale and spinach soup. Oh, sorry, I thought I copied the link. Just type vegan into the search box. Good luck!

You can omit it and substitute with ranch or blue cheese dressing or other fatty sauce as you prefer.

Then you can omit it. That will lower the fat content in the recipe somewhat though.

I was craving a BLT and found this recipe. I had to make some changes due to ingredients on hand, I only had salad in a bag and cherry tomatoes. I slices and roasted the cherry tomatoes, and made a salad with all the ingredients, cutting up the bacon. I added a little bit of ranch dressing for added tase. It was delicious and will be an easy go-to lunch in the future.

These recipes seem really good, but everyone of them I look at I am confused as to what the serving size to eat is vs how much the recipe yields. It says servings 2. Does that mean the nutrition facts and macros are for 2 servings or that the recipe yields 2 servings and the nutrition facts and macros are actually for just one serving? I would love to see that clarified on more of the recipes on this site.

As many as fit in with your daily carb allowance or to meet your protein needs.

Yes, the nutrition information is listed per serving. If you prefer less fat or fewer calories, you could adjust the amount of mayonnaise or avocado.

Now I’m confused. How can one serving possibly be over 600 calories? I’m looking at calorie count per item in recipe and cannot get over 300 calories per serving. What am I missing?

The vast majority of the calories in this dish come from the bacon, about 400 calories for 3oz bacon.

There is absolutely no way this recipe is over 600 calories per serving.
Bacon @ 85 grams - raw - is 227kcal
Mayo @ 1.5 tbs - 60kcal
Avocado @ 50 g - 86 kcal (weighed without skin or stone)
Lettuce, tomato and salt/pepper negligibleTotal - approximately 375kcal

That would depend on your nutritional needs and hunger level. Generally with Diet Doctor recipes, 1 serving is intended to be 1 meal. If you find that you're still hungry after a meal like this, try adding some more protein; you could even add a fried egg to the wrap.

Different components of this dish will last different lengths of time The filling will last longer than the lettuce or the avocado, so it may be best to prep the filling and then get the lettuce and avocado ready when you need to serve them.
